Hey everyone! For this blog I'm gonna do a movie review on the new hit movie "Divergent". I should let you know I'm not a big book reader so I didn't get a chance to read the original book before the movie came out. But, I thought the movie was AWESOME! I loved all the emotion and thrill and just everything about it! And the editing and filming was done fantastically. The shots were unique and portrayed the concept of the movie. Now, some of my friends did read the book, and said the movie was okay, but it left our a lot of stuff the book had. Like characters, scenes, things, etc. Being in media I understand a lot of the behind the scenes thins and how the director thinks. I think they left some stuff out because this movie was made in a very short period of time and it would have cost a lot of money to add in additional things. But the overall reason they left some things out is because it was based on a book. In books the author has no limit, he/she can go beyond the impossible and that's what makes books truly amazing. In movies you actually have to think about how to make the authors wild ideas real to show the audience it can happen. Now, like I said about being a director, it would be very very hard to show multiples and multiples of the same character. We'll, overall I loved the Divergent movie and definitely suggest it for anyone ages 12 and up because there is some scenes that may be intense for some viewers, thanks for reading!
