Hey everyone! Whats you favorite christmas movie? Mine is called " Snow Bride". I like this movie because its a wonderful, wonderful christmas story. I will tell you the story, the "media" behind it, and why I like this movie so much.
So what happens in this movie is a girl reporter has a assignment over the holidays to spy on a family of the very rich and wealthy mayor. All the press says about the family is they are rich stuck up snobs. So, the reporter goes out with a spontanious mind to try find out what the family does over the holidays. Only to find herself in a snow storm, with nothing but a wedding dress, for her friend, to keep her warm. her car gets stuck so she puts the dress on, and try's to find help. She feels unconsious and faints in the snow only to wake up to find herself in a rustic old cabin with a guy that saved her life. she didn't want to blow her cover as a undercover reporter, so she told the guy that she was a runaway bride. Soon to find out that guy was the son of the mayor. When the mayor comes to town the guy and the girl go up to a beautiful mansion in the mountains, a few miles away from the cabin. The story gets really good, but i don't want to spoil it for you! ( Spoiler alert: The man falls for the girl and then he finds out she's a reporter from his ex girlfriend) Anyways! Watch the movie to hear the whole story!
How i think this movie relates to media is the reporter goes out on this wild trip during christmas looking for a story, and turns out to find one that no one could have imagined. She still turned it into something wonderful, and although her boss got mad it wasn't as gossipy and juicy as he wanted it, she still kept her word to the family. This relates to media because as reporter's ourselves we choose the best topic we can think of, and go out and try to find out as much as we can, and make a good story out of it. But, thats not always the case. Sometimes we go out not really knowing what to expect ( like the reporter in the movie), but sometimes the story turns out way better than we thought, but also sometimes, you don't have a story at all. I like watching this movie because I could kind of relate to the reporter in the beginning of the movie when she was sent on a mission to do something that she didn't know much about.
I like this movie so much because it's a romantic comedy. I am a sucker for romantic comedies because they are always so interesting and touching. This movie struck gold with this story, It was so magical, and so majestic. I would deffinitaly recommend this movie for the whole family, especially teenage girls. Its a great movie around the holidays.
And that is my favorite christmas movie! I hope you get a chance to watch it this year! Merry Christmas!!
